11th September 2009 – Dundalk Retail Park Expansion
WH Stephens have been appointed by Finnabair Developments Ltd as Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors and PSDP to move forward a major expansion of the existing retail park on the Inner Relief Road, Dundalk, County Louth. The first phase involves the development of a multi screen cinema and restaurants.
4th September 2009 – The New Northern Ireland Hospice
WH Stephens as part of a team with architectural practice Consarc Design Group have been appointed to redevelop a new state of the art hospice building within a conservation area on the existing Somerton Road site in Belfast. The appointment was made after a design competition and presentation
2nd September 2009 – Ballymena Jobs & Benefts Office
The £8 Million JBO scheme has been certified with a BREEAM excellent rating after scoring 73% in the BRE’s Bespoke Sustainability Assessment. WH Stephens are providing Project Management and Quantity Surveying Services for The Department of Finance and Personnel on the scheme
1st September 2009 – Phoenix House, Dublin for Trinity College
WH Stephens have been appointed off the Trinity College Framework to provide Quantity Surveying Services for the refurbishment of Phoenix House, Leinster Street South in central Dublin. WH Stephens will be working closely with Coady Architects in the delivery of the project.
20th August 2009 – Trinity College Dublin Framework
WH Stephens have successfully secured a place on Trinity College Dublins framework to provide Quantity Surveying Services to the college over the next three years.
28th July 2009 – ASDA Junction One, Antrim
As part of the ongoing expansion of the £100 million retail development at Junction One WH Stephens are providing Project Management and Quantity Surveying services to demolish the existing Enkalon factory buildings, remove foundations, create 2km of major access roads, upgrade external site junctions and decontaminate isolated hot spots to facilitate the development of an ASDA superstore.
16th June 2009 – OGC Buying Solutions Framework
WH Stephens have been appointed, following a rigorous assessment process, as part of a team headed by Pick Everard to the UK Wide Buying Solutions Framework. 12th June 2009 – The Public Records Office for Northern Ireland (PRONI) –
The £20 Million PRONI scheme has been certified with a BREEAM excellent rating after scoring 77% in the BRE’s Bespoke Sustainability Assessment. The scheme has the highest scoring BREEAM rating in Northern Ireland. WH Stephens are providing Project Management and Quantity Surveying Services for Titanic Quarter Ltd on the scheme
10th June 2009 – Altnagelvin Hospital – 2009 Design & Health International Academy Award Winner
– The new £15 million south wing has been awarded the Best International Health Project in the 2009 Design & Health International Academy Awards in Singapore. This phase of the project is part of the ongoing £100 million redevelopment of the hospital on which WH Stephens have been providing Quantity Surveying services.

The £11 million Bluestone Unit at Craigavon Hospital has won the national award for Best Design of a Mental Health Building in the UK
